Job Description and Requirements:

The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach with managing the athletic program, recruiting, mentoring student-athletes, preparing scouting materials, assisting with film exchange, practice planning, team travel, equipment management, sport camps, visiting team arrangements, statistical data, supervision of personnel, community service, representation at events, fundraising, media requests, and compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules.

  • Coordinate recruitment and retention of prospective student-athletes.
  • Mentor student-athletes to foster growth in athletic, academic, emotional, and social areas.
  • Gather, prepare, and present scouting materials.
  • Assist in event organization, practice planning, skill development, and game strategies.
  • Manage team travel, equipment, and sport camps.
  • Coordinate visiting team logistics.
  • Support alumni relations and maintain statistical data.
  • Supervise personnel when required.
  • Represent the Head Coach at events.
  • Assist with booster clubs and fundraising.
  • Respond to media requests.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant rules and regulations.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of Division 1 coaching experience. The position requires background checks, a valid driver’s license, and operating a motor vehicle.
