Xavier College Preparatory in Avondale, Arizona, is seeking qualified coaches to assist with high school varsity sports. Candidates should have coaching experience, be certified in CPR and First Aid, and possess knowledge of CPR and NFHS safety courses.
The role includes organizing practice sessions, teaching sports fundamentals, maintaining discipline, and increasing morale within the athletic program. The position is seasonal and requires attendance at staff meetings and coaching evaluations.
Qualifications: Coaching and/or playing experience preferred in sport. Two years previous high
school varsity coaching or equivalent required.
Valid CPR and First Aid card. Must also be certified in the state required NFHS Fundamentals of
Coaching Class or certified in Positive Coaching Alliance. Must complete Diocesan Safe
Environment Training and have current fingerprint card in addition to completion of concussion
training, Heat and Illness Prevention, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training and First Aid, Health and
Safety courses (NFHS).
Approved By: The principal as recommended by the Athletic Director and recruited by the Varsity
Head Coach.
Supervises: Student-athletes assigned and those portions of the athletic program as determined by the
Varsity Head Coach.
Job Goals: To carry out the aims and objectives of the sports program as outlined by the Varsity Head
Coach while maintaining oneself as a positive Dominican role model.
