Assistant Coach, Equestrian

Job Description: Brown University Athletics and Recreation is currently seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach, Equestrian position. The role is a part‑time, 11‑month position that assists the Head Coach and provides administrative assistance with compliance, recruiting, scheduling, and team travel logistics. This position is not benefits‑eligible.

Location: Providence, Rhode Island. Department: Athletics and Recreation. Grade: 8.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with NCAA, Ivy League, and University policy and procedures.
• Assist with team travel planning and logistics.
• Support recruiting and alumni outreach.
• Help manage the team roster.
• Support the Head Coach as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Collegiate, professional, high school, or club sports coaching experience preferred.

Certifications

• Annual NCAA recruiting rules education by compliance office.
• Current AED/CPR and First Aid certification.

Background Check

• Criminal background check.
• Motor Vehicle Record check.
