Job summary

The Downingtown Area School District is seeking an Assistant Coach for Boys Wrestling at Downingtown High School West for the 2026-2027 winter season.

Responsibilities include supporting the head coach, maintaining equipment and facilities, scheduling and supervising practice sessions, and organizing team events to foster a positive, competitive environment.

Wrestling experience is required; anticipated start around November 20, 2026, with a closing date of October 13, 2026.

Job Summary:

Duties may include supporting the head coach, ensuring that equipment and facilities are maintained, and performing administrative duties. Assistant coaches may also schedule and supervise practice sessions, maintain training equipment, and organize team events, all while building a positive team environment.

Qualifications:

To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skills and/or ability necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Wrestling experience required
• Previous coaching experience preferred
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal recordcheck requirements
