Job summary

Township High School District 214 Community Education Foundation is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach to support the Head Coach in all aspects of the program. The role focuses on long-term development, organization, and coordination across levels of play.

The successful candidate will contribute to a positive, disciplined environment, foster athlete growth, and participate in public relations with athletes, parents, boosters, and the community.

Qualifications

• ISBE or ASEP certification is required.
• Coaching experience at any level or coordinating experience at Varsity level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Head Coach in all aspects of the Baseball program.
• Supports the athletic department and head coach in development, organization, and coordination at all levels.
• Represents the program in public relations activities with athletes, parents, boosters, and the community.
• Attends clinics, staff meetings, summer camps, and off-season programs to support program growth.
• Maintains positive relations with athletes, parents, and officials.
• Encourages multisport participation and promotes participation in other sports.

Job description

The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the Baseball program. The Assistant Coach will support the athletic department and head coach in all phases of the Baseball program including its long-term development, organization, and coordination of all levels of play. The Assistant Coach should support all Baseball related public relations activities within the athletic department, school, booster parent associations, and the community in concert with the head coach and school administration.

• Supports the mission and vision for the long-term success of the Baseball program.
• Reinforces program philosophies that are consistently executed and transparent to athletes and parents.
• Demonstrates the ability and experience to increase the Baseball knowledge, skills and expertise of athletes in all phases of the game.
• Fosters an engaging and positive atmosphere of discipline and accountability.
• Fosters a culture of support and leadership that will help student-athletes grow and develop on and off the field.
• Attends clinics, staff meetings, summer camps, and off-season programs to support the growth of the Baseball program.
• Maintains good public relations with athletes, parents, and officials.
• Encourages multisport participation and creates an atmosphere that is conducive to athlete's participation in other sports.

Qualifications

• ISBE or ASEP certification.
• Coaching experience at any level, or coordinating experience at the Varsity level, is preferred.
