Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking an Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in managing an NCAA sport program. The role focuses on coaching, recruiting, and student-athlete development, while promoting excellence, integrity, and inclusion.

The position involves assisting with training plans, travel, equipment, and scheduling, with a commitment to academic success and personal growth for student-athletes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of collegiate coaching or playing experience.
• Driver's License (PA) preferred)

Responsibilities

• Supports Head Coach in developing and executing all aspects of the program, including training plans and competition strategies.
• Collaborates to identify, evaluate, recruit, and retain qualified student-athletes with strong academics and character.
• Promotes a positive, inclusive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, leadership, and student-athlete well-being.
• Assists with day-to-day operations including travel, equipment, and scheduling of practices and competitions.
• Ensures compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and aligns with the university's mission and goals.
