Del Amo Behavioral Health System seeks an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing services within a 166-bed behavioral health environment. The ACNO will shape policy, drive quality, and guide clinical practice across inpatient and outpatient programs.

The role requires CA RN licensure, a BSN, and a Master’s degree is preferred, with at least 2 years in nursing management in behavioral health. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• CA RN licensure required.
• BSN from CCNE accredited program; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in nursing management in a psychiatric setting.
• Extensive knowledge of behavioral health nursing practices and patient care.
• Strong leadership, supervision, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set department goals, standards of performance, policies and procedures.
• Advise administration on procedural changes related to patient care.
• Direct implementation and ensure compliance with Nursing Practice standards and regulatory requirements.

Assistant Chief Nursing Officer

The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines. The ACNO functions in an advisory capacity to administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care. This position directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice and regulatory compliance that promotes optimum health care delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of CA.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Masters level or incumbent to Master’s prepared required.
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric setting required; Minimum 2 years in nursing management role required.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
• Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in behavioral health setting preferred
