Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at Del Amo Behavioral Health System in California.

The ACNO will develop department goals, oversee nursing standards, and advise administration on clinical procedures to enhance patient care in a behavioral health setting. The role requires a CA RN license, a BSN from a CCNE-accredited program, and a Master’s degree or progress toward it.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice professional nursing in CA.
• RN with psychiatric experience.
• Minimum 2 years in nursing management.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health nursing practices and management.
• Deep understanding of nursing principles and patient care activities.
• Proven management and supervisory capabilities; strong written and verbal communication.
• 3+ years of progressive nursing management in behavioral health preferred

Assistant Chief Nursing Officer

The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines. The ACNO functions in an advisory capacity to administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care. This position directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice and regulatory compliance that promotes optimum health care delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of CA.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Masters level or incumbent to Master’s prepared required.
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric setting required; Minimum 2 years in nursing management role required.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
• Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in behavioral health setting preferred
