Job summary

Barrington James is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator in Miami to support a fast-paced clinical pharmacology unit. You will assist CRCs with study schedules, consent forms, and data collection while working closely with Principal Investigators.

Candidates with clinical or research backgrounds, strong attention to detail, and good communication will thrive; on-site full-time in Miami; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Clinical or research experience in a medical/clinical setting.
• Must be based in Miami, FL and able to work on-site full-time.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned Clinical Research Coordinators with study schedules, flowsheets, and procedure prep.
• Discuss and administer Informed Consent Forms.
• Perform clinical tasks including venipuncture, vital signs, ECGs, and other assessments.
• Ensure procedure areas are properly stocked and study-ready.
• Support adverse event reporting and notify staff of abnormal results.
• Communicate with study participants to explain procedures and gather data.
• Attend study initiation meetings and protocol-related team meetings.
• Maintain current BLS/ACLS certification and CEUs.

What You'll Do

• Support assigned Clinical Research Coordinators with study schedules, flowsheets, and procedure prep

What We're Looking For

• Clinical or research experience - Medical Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, Research Assistants, or similar clinical/medical office backgrounds welcomed
• Comfortable performing clinical procedures under a structured protocol
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communicator, comfortable interacting directly with study participants
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, not required
• Must be based in or willing to work on-site full-time in Miami, FL
