Job summary

Florida State University’s School of Teacher Education is seeking a faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Elementary Education, supervise pre-service teachers in K-6 settings, and contribute to program development across the college and profession.

The candidate should hold a doctoral degree in Elementary Education or related field and demonstrate strong teaching, mentoring, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to serving diverse student populations in Florida

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Elementary Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A minimum of three years teaching experience in K-12 educational settings.
• Commitment to and experience working with all student populations.
• Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Elementary Education.
• Supervise pre-service teachers in K-6 settings.
• Teach four courses in each of fall and spring semesters and two courses in summer.
• Provide service to K-12 schools, the Elementary Education Program, the College, and the profession.
