Qualifikationen

• BCBA certification or ability to become BCBA certified within required timelines.
• Masters or Doctoral Degree in a related human services field (social work, mental health counseling, psychology, etc).
• Experience with function based behavioral assessment and treatment.
• Two years of related direct experience with individuals that have Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities.
• Thorough knowledge of ABA and Positive Behavior Supports.

• Lead department initiatives to deliver high-quality services and staff trainings based on person-centered models.
• Write, implement, and train staff on positive behavior support plans using ABA principles, including proactive strategies and responses to target behaviors.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support adults in improving social, work, and daily living skills while reducing maladaptive behaviors.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of behavior support plans and adjust as needed to enhance learning.
• Maintain data collection systems and ensure records compliance across the department.
• Partner with psychiatrists, therapists, direct support staff, house managers, and others to coordinate care.
• Understand a wide range of intellectual disabilities and related conditions to tailor supports appropriately.

Assistant Clinical Director

Salary Range: $67,980.00 To $81,172.00 Annually

North Suffolk is looking for an Assistant Clinical Director to join our DS Residential team! The Assistant Clinical Director works with the Clinical Director and other clinical staff to support individuals and staff in the Developmental Services Division. In this role, you would play a major role in the ongoing overall training of the DS Residential department’s direct service and management staff. The Assistant Clinical Director works with the clinical team in the development and implementation of Person Centered Planning and Positive Behavioral Supports techniques and protocols/strategies.

What you’ll do:

• Contribute to the leadership of the department in developing and providing quality services and staff trainings based on person centered models.
• Write, implement, and train staff on positive behavior support plans based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and will include pre-cursors, identified problem times, proactive strategies, and responses to target behaviors specific to each individual.
• Work in a team environment to help adults improve social, work, and/or daily living skills, while helping to reduce maladaptive behaviors.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of positive behavior support plans and make any necessary changes to help individuals learn new skills and behaviors more effectively.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, doctors, direct support staff, house managers and others.
• Manage and maintain data collection systems and records compliance.
• Understand the characteristics of a wide range of intellectual disabilities, mental health diagnoses, as well as disorders such as autism spectrum disorders and acquired brain injury.

What you’ll need:
