Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to support project teams in designing and redeveloping a range of facilities, from power plants to healthcare and industrial sites. You will assist with civil design, CAD drawings, field measurements, and reports under the supervision of licensed engineers.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Internship or related consulting experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of civil engineering techniques, principles and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in civil design of projects from concept through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for a variety of facilities.
• Design civil components per project manager requirements.
• Apply basic civil engineering concepts and codes in designs.
• Collect and compile project data as required by managers.
• Assist with studies and reports and field inspections as needed.
• Assist in client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
