Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer - Aerospace and Industrial for an onsite role in Greenville, SC. You will assist in civil design from concept to completion, reviewing drawings for projects in the aerospace and industrial sectors.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, CAD skills, and strong communication abilities. Ideal candidates have internship experience, ABET awareness, and are pursuing or have obtained the EIT certification.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree or related field from an accredited program (ABET preferred).
• Internship/consulting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of civil engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in problem-solving.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• EIT certification preferred.
• GPA 3.0 strongly preferred.
• Campus/community involvement preferred.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Assist civil design from concept through design completion.
• Review and modify production drawings for varied projects (power plants, healthcare, education).
• Design civil components per project manager requirements.
• Apply civil engineering knowledge to projects.
• Research and compile project data as needed.
• Update drawings using CAD software.
• Support client presentations, shop drawings, and contract administration.
• Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations.
• Execute other duties per policies and standards.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000/annum. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the civil design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for a variety of projects, including power plants, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions.
• Design civil components that meet project requirements as set forth by project managers.
• Apply basic knowledge of civil engineering concepts, principles, and codes within the industry.
• Conduct research and compile project-related data as required by project managers.
• Correct and update drawings provided by senior engineers using multiple CAD-related software.
• Support client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.
• Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
• Execute other duties as assigned while complying with all policies and standards.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program. ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge in standard civil engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
• Basic computer skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, PLS, PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, MathCADD.
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Engineers in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located.
