We are seeking Assistant Civil Engineers who will work on New York City infrastructure design projects at our office in Lower Manhattan. NV5's New York City Office operates on a four-day work week and we work on a wide variety of public and private infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Engage in research, investigation, and design tasks related to roadway and infrastructure design projects for New York City or State agencies.
• Design and alignment of highways and roadways.
• Planning for grading, drainage, pavement markings, and signage.
• Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Construction Staging.
• Develop technical drawings, prepare estimates of quantities, and write specifications.
• Conduct fieldwork for data gathering, surveys, and construction observations.
• Design Flood Protection infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
• Knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD especially).
• Knowledge of Civil3D (a plus).
• Knowledge of Microstation (a plus).
• Detail-oriented with excellent writing skills.

Certifications/Licenses: EIT preferred.

Salary range in New York: $72,000 to $76,000, with potential for higher offers based on experience.
