U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at Puget Sound VA Medical Center seeks an Assistant Chief of Respiratory Care Services to supervise respiratory therapists across Respiratory Care Services, Home Oxygen Program, and Pulmonary Diagnostic Services, under the Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy.

Qualifications include a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program, active RRT license, English proficiency, and at least one year at the GS-12 level with leadership capabilities.

Formación

• Must have completed a respiratory care program accredited by the CoARC or its successor.
• Active license and RRT credential required for the duration of employment.
• English language proficiency as required by policy.
• One year of creditable experience at GS-12 level or equivalent; certification in functional specialties preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise respiratory therapists in Respiratory Care Services, Home Oxygen Program, and Pulmonary Diagnostic Services.
• Assist in establishing an integrated program and improve operations based on data evaluation.
• Forecast resource needs and manage fiscal matters for the department.
• Communicate professionally with employees at varying levels of background.
