Position: Assistant Chief Plant Operator – USW-9

Location: Wastewater Treatment Plant

Salary Range: $1,323.11 to $1,778.16 per week

The Town of North Attleboro Department of Public Works, Sewer Division, is seeking an Assistant Chief Plant Operator. This role involves skilled technical, supervisory, and maintenance work assisting in the daily operation and testing of the wastewater treatment facility, ensuring compliance with operational, maintenance, and reporting standards. The assistant helps the Chief Plant Operator with plant operations and related issues and acts as the employee in charge in the absence of the Chief Operator.

Qualifications include an associate's degree with five years of experience in wastewater treatment operations and maintenance at a Grade VII plant operator level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Massachusetts Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator’s license, Grade 7, is required, along with a valid MA driver’s license.
