Job summary

Contour Airlines is seeking an Assistant Chief Pilot in Smyrna, TN who will provide pilot leadership across all Contour domiciles while also serving as an active crewmember. The role requires expertise in flight operations and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Chief Pilot, you will coach pilots, monitor performance against CFRs, and help drive continuous improvement of flight operations processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• U.S. Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• Two years of experience with a regional or major airline.
• U.S. work authorization.
• DOT pre-employment drug screening and FAA random testing.
• Ability to lift 70 pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Understanding of 14 CFR Part119/135 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pilots to ensure flights meet CFRs and company policies.
• Maintain qualified flight crew and conduct line supervision.
• Coach and mentor across divisions for safe operations.
• Drive process improvements in flight operations and standards.
• Represent the company in government, industry, and community activities.
• Ensure pilot appearance, attendance, and conduct align with policy.
