Job summary

Wing is seeking an Assistant Chief Pilot to lead the Flight Operations team for its autonomous drone delivery service in the United States. The role is onsite in Dallas, TX, reporting to the Chief Pilot and guiding PIC Managers and sUAS operators to ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in commercial/civil UAS operations or university-level education and training in civil UAS operations or military equivalent
• 5+ years of people management experience with 5+ direct reports or more in aviation, transportation, or other safety-critical operations
• 3+ years of experience as a PIC in Part 135 commercial drone delivery operations or equivalent
• Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate and recurrent certificate if applicable
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record within the last 36 months
• Valid FAA Third Class Medical Certificate or higher within the last 36 months
• Extensive knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks
• Experience with technical/engineering record keeping and web-based monitoring systems
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and work rotating schedules

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and compliant daily operation of Wing’s delivery business in the US
• Manage PIC operational performance, availability, readiness, and scheduling
• Support Policy, Regulatory, Operations, and other teams
• Maintain qualification as Part 135 PIC for autonomous drone delivery
• Lead and develop a team of 3-5 PIC Managers
• Onboard and develop crew members
• Ensure readiness of PIC Stations and Operations Rooms and equipment
• Directly support Wing’s public and government outreach
• Travel within the US up to 20% as required
