Job summary

HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, FL is seeking an Assistant Chief of Emergency Medicine to lead our busy ED and advance clinical operations. This role focuses on strategic oversight, quality initiatives and provider mentorship within a 14-bed ED committed to patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will be board certified in EM (ABEM/AOBEM) or eligible, with strong leadership experience, ATLS/ACLS/PALS, and a track record of improving efficiency, throughput, and patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
• Will consider Board-Certified Family Medicine (ABFM) or Board-Certified Internal Medicine (ABIM) with 24 months of current Emergency Medicine experience.
• ATLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Emergency Medicine department operations and clinical care.
• Partner with Trauma, OB, Neurosurgery and Vascular Surgery for seamless transfers.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and quality initiatives.
