Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Sarasota is seeking an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing services, ensure high patient care standards, and collaborate with leadership to maintain staffing and regulatory compliance.

The ACNO will oversee clinical nursing operations, drive policy development, and mentor nursing teams while upholding PAM Health system policies and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess RN licensure in good standing in the state.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience.
• Three years of nursing management experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• Certification in a specified field preferred (CNE, CRRN, CCRN, PCCN).

Responsibilities

• Direct all nursing service activities for the hospital assigned.
• Make recommendations for staff/patient ratios to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Serve as liaison between staff and administration.
• Promote staff productivity and professional development.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for nursing services in compliance with PAM Health system policies and accreditation standards.

  • Must possess RN licensure in good standing in the state where the hospital resides.
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience is required and three (3) years of experience in nursing management is preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS required.
  • Certification in a specified field preferred (CNE, CRRN, CCRN, PCCN).
