Job summary

The Grandview Resort in Las Vegas, NV, part of Vacatia, Inc., seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer to help lead the Engineering and Maintenance Department. You will work with the Chief Engineer to maintain resort facilities, supervise staff, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of leadership in resort engineering or maintenance, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hospitality engineering or maintenance leadership experience preferred.
• Resort or timeshare experience highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Engineering and Maintenance operations across the resort.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and property inspections.
• Perform and oversee repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
• Monitor maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Help supervise, schedule, train, and support Engineering team members.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, and company safety standards.
• Coordinate work performed by outside contractors and vendors.
• Maintain engineering shop inventory, supplies, and organization.
• Assist with emergency response procedures and participate in on-call coverage.
• Deliver outstanding guest service while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
