Job summary

Landmark Hotel Group is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer for the Comfort Inn On The Ocean in Kill Devil Hills, NC. The role drives guest satisfaction through hands-on maintenance, supervising daily tasks, and leading the engineering team in keeping guest rooms and public areas in top condition.

Key responsibilities include prioritizing projects, managing materials and tools, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Flexible schedule including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in a hotel or commercial setting is required.
• Journeyman experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC trades.
• Knowledge and experience in budgeting and expense control.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily work assignments from Chief Engineer and review priorities and special projects.
• Active management in the supervision of all work and repairs being performed.
• Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.
• Maintaining the hotel's appearance, equipment and systems with hands-on leadership.
• Focus on quality, service standards and company mission.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, preventive maintenance to guest rooms and public areas.
• Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces per hotel requirements.
