Job summary

The Howard Hughes Corporation seeks a hands-on Engineering Supervisor to lead a skilled team across Downtown Summerlin. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety systems, and site infrastructure, while maintaining records and driving preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with EMS and BMS monitoring and control systems.
• 2–3 years in a commercial office environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• EPA HVAC certification preferred.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and supervise maintenance work.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Engineer in leading, supervising, scheduling, and developing the engineering team.
• Monitor the physical condition of Downtown Summerlin and correct unsafe conditions.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and operation of building systems and site infrastructure.
• Remain hands-on in the field with diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
• Maintain records in the Angus Work Order system and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Implement and maintain comprehensive preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor performance of major systems and escalate needs to the Chief Engineer.
• Assign, prioritize, and inspect work performed by engineering staff.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls portfolio-wide.
• Support tenant operations and maintenance-related requests promptly.
• Inspect public areas and tenant spaces to identify issues.
• Assist with exterior grounds upkeep and environment of Downtown Summerlin.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Review new installations and tenant build-outs for compliance.
• Assist with scope development for landlord/tenant projects.
• Support bid processes and oversee outside contractors.
• Help manage vendor contracts and service agreements.
• Create and monitor inventory controls for materials and tools.
• Assist with budget tracking and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on events and tenant experiences.
• Maintain daily operating logs and communicate risks to leadership.
• Available for after-hours response and travel if needed.
• Perform duties in line with policies and leadership direction.
• Assume leadership in absence of the Chief Engineer.
