Kingston Resorts in Myrtle Beach is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to oversee departmental activities, ensuring equipment operation, staff management, and product quality to meet guest expectations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, hotel maintenance, and management.

You will work directly with the Complex Director of Engineering to train and learn across multiple buildings.

Formación

• Screen and interview Engineering candidates.
• Recommend hiring, advancement, discipline, and promotion to Director of Engineering.
• Ensure department spending stays within budgetary limits.
• Ensure directives and standards are followed and maintained.
• Staff training, assignments and supervision.
• Ensure quality performance in staff assignments.
• Ensure building code and quality standards at departmental and interdepartmental levels.
• Monitor equipment and preventive maintenance standards to ensure quality product.

Description

The Kingston Resorts is a 145-acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20-minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. This resort is home to the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation Condos, and Royale Palms. The Assistant Director of Engineering is responsible for the management of activities within the department, ensuring the standards and objectives of the department are implemented and maintained in equipment operation, staff management, and product quality to meet and exceed guest expectations.

The ideal applicant will possess multiple hands‑on skills in HVAC, Plumbing, Hotel Maintenance, and Management.

This position will work directly with the Complex Director of Engineering to train and learn all facets of a multiple building Resort.

Responsibilities

• Conduct applicant screening and interviews for Engineering positions.
• Make recommendations as to hiring, advancement, discipline and promotion to Director of Engineering.

• Ensures the directives and standards are followed and maintained within department.

Requirements

• Knowledge of hotel maintenance including, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, etc.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or similar management experience

Starting at $55,000 - $60,000

This is a full-time, year-round position working at the Kingston Resorts.
