Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. in Concord, MA is seeking Assistant Instructors to support our after-school enrichment program. You will help run engaging chess classes, provide one-on-one or small-group support, and follow the curriculum for 15–22 elementary students.

We offer competitive pay of $25–$35 per class, flexible hours (1–5 classes/week, 2:00–5:00 PM), mileage reimbursement for travel over 15 miles, and full training with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with elementary students.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, or camp counseling is a plus.
• Ability to follow directions and support classroom management.
• Positive, kid-friendly demeanor and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chess Instructor in setting up and managing a fun, interactive chess class for 15–22 elementary students.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students practicing piece movements and basic concepts.
• Support activities, keep students engaged, reinforce positive behavior.
• Follow a structured curriculum and promote good sportsmanship.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session and arrive prepared.
