Job summary

Capital Region Mathnaisum seeks an Assistant Center Manager/Director to support Center Directors across multiple Mathnasium centers. Part-time, management-track role focusing on parent communication, scheduling, enrollment follow-up and daily operations.

You will ensure smooth center operations, assist with coverage when directors are unavailable, and escalate major decisions to leadership as needed. Prior experience in education or people-focused roles is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, tutoring, service, operations, or a similar people-focused environment is preferred.
• Advanced math background is not required.

Responsibilities

• Center Director Support: Provide hands-on support to Center Directors across multiple Capital Region Mathnasium centers.
• On-Site Coverage: Step in when a center needs extra leadership support, including when a Center Director is unavailable.
• Parent Communication: Support parent calls, follow-up, concern resolution, and day-to-day family communication.
• Enrollment & Retention Support: Assist with lead follow-up, enrollment conversations, and retention touchpoints under center leadership direction.
• Operations Coordination: Help with scheduling, staffing coordination, cleanliness, materials, and daily center workflows.
• Student Experience Support: Help monitor the student experience and session flow, while escalating instructional concerns to Center Directors or Lead Instructors.

Job description

Are you an organized, people-focused operator who enjoys helping teams and families have a great experience? Capital Region Math is looking for an Assistant Center Manager / Director to support our Center Directors across multiple Mathnasium centers.

This is a part-time management-track support role, not an advanced math instruction role. You will have some oversight of the student experience and instructional floor, but your primary focus will be parent communication, scheduling, enrollment follow-up, daily operations, and helping centers run smoothly when a Center Director is out or extra support is needed. You will work closely with Center Directors and the franchise owner, while escalating major personnel, financial, legal, or strategic decisions to center leadership.

This multi-center support role may be scheduled at Clifton Park, Niskayuna, Loudonville, or Westmere depending on center needs. Loudonville is one of the primary Capital Region Mathnasium centers this role may support.

Responsibilities:

• Center Director Support: Provide hands-on support to Center Directors across multiple Capital Region Mathnasium centers

Qualifications:

• Management Track: Interest in learning how to support and help run a center, including operations, parent communication, and team coordination
• Customer Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with comfort making parent or customer calls
• Operational Judgment: Able to prioritize, follow through, and keep details moving in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment
• Flexibility: Able to support multiple Capital Region centers based on coverage needs
• Education Environment: Experience in education, tutoring, service, operations, or a similar people-focused environment is preferred. Advanced math background is not required
• Mathnasium Fit: Positive, dependable, organized, and committed to helping students and families have an excellent experience

Schedule:

Part-time management-track support role, approximately 30 hours per week, with afternoon/evening and Saturday availability required. Schedule may include coverage across Clifton Park, Niskayuna, Loudonville, and Westmere based on center needs.
