The NYC Department of Social Services is seeking four Principal Administrative Associates to oversee Claims Units and ensure effective processing of Food Stamp claims. Candidates should have strong administrative and supervisory skills, with a focus on staff training and performance monitoring. Family Independence Administration provides temporary help to individuals and families with social service and economic needs to assist them in reaching self-sufficiency through various programs/services such as: temporary cash assistance, SNAP, childcare, eviction prevention, adult protective services, job training, employment support, domestic violence assistance, child support enforcement, etc.
Under the direction of the Deputy Center Manager, with considerable decision-making authority, performs specialized administrative work supervising the functions of the City-wide Claims Units and/or the City-wide Special Projects Units. The Claims Units handle Food Stamp claims related to benefit changes, while the Special Projects Units process cases identified through computer matches and city-wide projects involving case processing and data discrepancy resolution. These incumbents rotate periodically and work across various sections within the food stamp sites.

Hours/Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
