The Opportunity

Reporting to Center Manager - In the absence of the center manager, you will have ultimate responsibility of entire center operations, including production, quality compliance, finance, HR and IT.

The Role

Ensure compliance with all Company SOPs and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Participate in collecting and analyzing data to maintain center quality, efficiency, and profitability. Collaborate with the center manager to assist with quality compliance by meeting company, regulatory and customer requirements to safeguard the purity and efficacy of the plasma and the safety of donors and employees. Work with quality personnel and QA team to develop corrective action plans to address any areas of deficiency noted during audits. Ensure the center and all employees comply with OSHA regulations and training and complete all OSHA record keeping and reporting. Employee recruitment, training, counseling, and termination, and corrective action programs. To achieve compliance, follow HR policies by treating all employees fairly with HR. Support the center's marketing and advertising efforts. Overnight travel up to 10%.

Assistant Manager - New Center Support
  • Leads all onsite training activities for new center training. Leads daily debrief sessions with trainers and center leadership in order to determine training progress. Makes necessary training adjustments to ensure training is delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Monitors training efficiency by ensuring training completion rates meet established targets. Provides progress reports to Manager, New Center Support.
  • Schedules new center training team to match onsite training needs. Monitors trainers performance to ensure they meet daily goals.
  • Ensure that the new center Designated Trainers are effectively delivering process knowledge to all staff members. Monitor training to ensure that it is compliant with company SOP and HSE policies.
  • Provide oversight of training team employee relations issues and will collaborate with Manager, New Center Support. Adhere to all HR policies and practices through fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Communicates effectively with HR to ensure HR compliance.
  • Provides support and guidance to Designated Trainers by effective training and coaching. Uses Adult Learning Styles to coach Designated Trainers on challenging training situations. Collaborates with Manager, New Center Support and/or L&D as needed.
  • Coordinate with multiple new center leadership teams to evaluate new training team performance. Provides feedback on trainees training progression. Minimizes training distraction or impact to operational center.
  • Ensure effective communication between new center leadership, Manager New Center Support, Designated Trainers and Trainees during the training process. Provide a model of good customer service to employees. Communicate openly with customers. Effectively resolve complaints or concerns. Collaborate with center management to ensure excellent customer service by all new staff and trainers.
  • Facilitates new center training materials. Ensures that training site is set up and maintained properly. Develops training scenarios. Extensive travel. Extended work hours and weekends may be required.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
Your skills and experience:

Education: Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent combination of education and professional work experience required

Working Conditions

You may spend 80% of the time standing/walking, and occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs. May spend 60% of the time auditing, improving and observing ongoing operations through the center. May work with hazardous chemicals, exposed to extreme temperatures and to bloodborne pathogens. You will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks in certain areas.

The expected base pay for this position at hiring is $70,100.00 - $76,600.00 annually. Please note this wage range reflects what CSL expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base pay for a successful candidate within this range is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other relevant factors.
