Job summary

Mathnasium of Delaware is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Center Director to join the founding team of our new Delaware center. You will help shape culture, lead with the Center Director, and support both education and business operations.

This role offers a rewarding leadership opportunity with after-school and weekend hours, comprehensive training, and potential for advancement in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in helping children succeed.
• Comfortable with K–12 math and supporting students.
• Customer service, leadership, education, or sales experience is a plus.
• Available during after-school hours and Sundays 2:00–6:00 PM.
• Willing to learn and grow with the center.

Responsibilities

• Identify students’ needs and support development of customized learning plans.
• Assist with prospective-family inquiries, consultations, follow-up, and enrollment.
• Build strong relationships with parents and provide exceptional customer service.
• Communicate student progress and celebrate achievements.
• Support, coach, and coordinate instructors during learning sessions.
• Help manage student engagement, learning progress, and center operations flow.
• Assist with scheduling, organization, and day-to-day center tasks.
• Step in to support students with math instruction when needed.
• Help create a welcoming, energetic culture at Mathnasium Delaware.

What You’ll Do

Working closely with the Center Director, you’ll help with both the educational and day‑to‑day business operations of the center.

Responsibilities include:

What We’re Looking For

• MUST be at least 18 years of age
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in working with children and helping them succeed
• Comfortable with K–12 math and willing to support students and instructors when needed
• Customer service, leadership, education, or sales experience is a plus
• Confidence communicating with parents and prospective families
• Dependability, organization, and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities
• A positive, team‑oriented attitude and eagerness to learn
• Availability during our after‑school operating hours and potentially Sundays from 2:00–6:00 PM

Previous Mathnasium experience is a plus, but absolutely not required. We provide training and are looking just as much for the right attitude, communication skills, and potential as we are for previous experience.
