Job summary

The Salvation Army in Maine seeks an Assistant Camp Director to join the Northern New England Divisional Youth Department. You will lead camp Sebago programming, develop curriculum, supervise seasonal staff, and ensure camper safety and communications during the June–August on-site term.

Year-round duties include planning divisional youth events, managing registrations, and maintaining youth program records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience; equivalent combination considered.
• Active Salvationist in good standing with demonstrated commitment to Salvation Army mission and youth ministry.
• Experience in youth programming and staff supervision.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills; on-site residency at Camp Sebago June–August.
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel throughout the Division; CampMinder experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain programs for Camp Sebago and divisional youth events.
• Supervise seasonal staff and manage camper communications and logistics.
• Oversee administrative infrastructure for the Youth Department (database, materials, staff hiring payroll coordination, event registration).
