Job summary

Rio Grande seeks an Assistant Buyer in Albuquerque, NM to support the Supply Chain team with data management, item setup, and special-order sourcing. You will coordinate with Buyers, Merchants, Vendors, Sales, and internal partners to ensure accurate product information and timely execution of supply chain initiatives.

The role focuses on data accuracy, system maintenance, and cross-functional project support to improve efficiency and business performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, buying support, supply chain, admin support, or related field.
• Experience with data entry and product information management systems.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and update item, vendor, and product information within SAP and other business systems.
• Source customer-requested special-order products by identifying suppliers and obtaining cost, availability, MOQs, and lead times.
• Analyze supplier quotes and develop customer pricing using established pricing structures and guidelines.
• Communicate product availability, lead times, and pricing information to Sales teams.
• Create and maintain new item records and input product specifications into EnterWorks templates.
