Victory Lap is seeking an Assistant Buyer to join its buying team in a hybrid role that blends relationship-building with analytical purchasing decisions. The position offers a base salary with bonus potential and opportunities to work directly with manufacturers and suppliers to uncover profitable product opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially minded, able to balance relationship-building with financial considerations.

Formación

• 2-4 years of buying/purchasing or related experience.
• Strong relationship-building and rapport with new contacts.
• Confident phone outreach to decision-makers.
• Analytical mindset for pricing, costs, profitability.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proactive approach to finding opportunities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop vendor relationships: Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and other potential partners to uncover new purchasing opportunities.
• Identify new opportunities: Proactively reach out to companies, connect with key decision-makers, and secure product and inventory opportunity lists.
• Evaluate purchasing opportunities: Review product offerings, assess costs and potential resale pricing, and determine whether opportunities align with business objectives.
• Analyze pricing and profitability: Work through product details, pricing information, and potential margins to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Manage the buying pipeline: Keep vendor information, product opportunities, and follow-ups organized to ensure opportunities continue moving forward.
• Collaborate with leadership: Work closely with the VP of the buying team to evaluate opportunities, prioritize potential purchases, and contribute to the company’s growth.
