Job summary

Zumiez in Lynnwood, WA is hiring an Assistant Buyer to support the buying team. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Buyer and involves assisting in the buying process, proactive reporting, and serving as the primary liaison with stores.

Responsibilities include SKU/PO creation, tracking deliveries, preparing sales reports, sample coordination, store transfers, and addressing product inquiries. Travel to domestic markets and events is required.

Qualifications

• Understanding and application of retail math and business analysis.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Maintains awareness of Zumiez customer, market and industry trends.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office and internal buying systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accurate SKU and PO creation for the buying team.
• Track deliveries and ensure timely, accurate allocation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly sales reporting.
• Sample coordination for the team.
• Assist buyer in store-to-store transfers and preparing markdowns (store impact).
• Main point of contact for product inquiries from stores.
• Manage small categories/vendors with oversight.
