New England College of Optometry (NECO) is a small, independent, graduate institution located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. NECO seeks an Assistant Building Manager - Maintenance Technician II for sites including the College’s historic Back Bay campus and two eye care clinics located on Boston’s Commonwealth Avenue and in Roslindale Square. The Assistant Building Manager reports to, assists, and works under the general direction of the Manager of Building & Grounds and collaborates closely with the Manager of Compliance and Safety.
The Assistant Building Manager - Maintenance Technician II is a vital member of the Operations team, occasionally responsible for building opening and closing, and acts as the person in charge of building operations when the management team is not onsite. This role involves working closely with custodial and security teams to manage events and special projects, and being the key contact for all vendor activities, including project management of small construction tasks. Tasks performed include maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance, light construction, room setup/turnover, snow removal, safety inspections, and other duties to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
The candidate must be proficient in the following tasks, but licensure is not required:
Salary Range: $63,000 - $65,000
