Responsibilities

• Ensure branch operations comply with policy, law and regs.
• Develop product knowledge and cross-sell to members.
• Oversee branch security, alarms, and opening/closing procedures.
• Balance all branch transactions daily.
• Assist in policy changes at branch level.
• Process loans, CDs, IRAs, HSAs, and new accounts.
• Provide guidance to staff; step in as Branch Manager when needed.
• Onboard/train new employees; cross-train staff across roles.
• Set staffing levels and create schedules.
• Resolve member requests promptly or route accordingly.
• Keep management informed and suggest service improvements.
• Prepare and submit required reports accurately and on time.

What You'll Do

• Ensure branch operations run in line with policy, legal, and regulatory requirements, in step with other departments
• Build deep knowledge of credit union products and services, and cross-sell to meet member needs
• Oversee branch security, respond to alarms, and support opening/closing procedures
• Make sure the branch balances all transactions at the end of each day
• Help implement policy and procedure changes at the branch level
• Handle loan processing and closings, certificates of deposit, IRAs, HSAs, and new accounts
• Provide direction and supervision to branch staff, and step in as Branch Manager when needed
• Onboard and train new employees, and cross-train staff across roles
• Help set staffing levels and build schedules
• Resolve member requests and questions promptly, or route them appropriately
• Keep management informed of branch activity and flag ideas for better service
• Complete required reports accurately and on time

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework a plus
• 2 to 5 years of related financial institution experience
• Solid understanding of teller, member service, and loan officer functions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable with computer applications and everyday office equipment
