Job summary

Popular is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for the St. Thomas branch to support the Branch Manager with daily on-site operations, sales initiatives, and customer service excellence.

The role directly supervises at least 2 full-time employees and focuses on achieving branch goals, coaching staff, and ensuring adherence to banking regulations and corporate policies. This position requires a Monday–Saturday schedule, 8am–5pm, with on-site work.

Job Type

Assists Branch Manager on the day-to-day administrative, operations and sales functions on a retail branch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Promote sales and operations units integration. Assure strategies implementation and Bank Consultant productivity to achieve branch sales. Monthly review of sales, service and productivity levels reports to monitor results, analyze trends, deviations from goals established and provide appropriate coaching if necessary. Review daily commercial overdraft. Assure adherence to customer service standards for groups under supervision. Assure proper maintenance of facilities and equipment and refer any problem or request to the corresponding unit. Monitor reports to detect high risk accounts and irregularities. Collaborate with inside auditors on compliance auditing. Assure completion of documents according to all banking regulations and Corporation policies. Complete and discuss the Bank Consultant Dashboard with the employee. Oversee controllable expense accounts. May intervene on complex customers’ banking problems, when necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises at least 2 full time employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Coach and develop employees. Foster a spirit of teamwork allows for disagreement over ideas as well as diversity.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience

At least two years of related experience.

8am-5pm
