Job summary

Self-Help in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations, staff supervision, and member service excellence. You will help oversee lending activities, onboarding, and compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and AML policies.

You will lead training, drive business development, and work with branch leadership to set performance goals while ensuring a positive community-focused banking experience for members.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective branch operations including opening/closing, staffing, and member service.
• Conduct staff meetings and provide regulatory or process updates.
• Oversee lending function including interview, processing, approval, and adherence to sound credit practices.
• Prequalify loan applicants by reviewing borrower information and documents; assess creditworthiness and repayment risk.
• Explain services to potential members to generate additional business and support branch goals.
• Lead on-the-job training for new branch staff and supervise branch production goals.
