Job summary

Pioneer Bank is seeking a Sales Leader/Assistant Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations, manage staff, and strengthen customer relationships. The role reports to the Branch Administration Officer and supports retail, commercial, and municipal clients.

Responsibilities include selling bank products, supervising staff, ensuring security, and driving branch sales and deposits. A college degree is preferred, with sales experience and Notary certification within 12 months encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year Assistant Manager or Sales experience or two years’ experience as a Relationship Banker, Client Service Supervisor or Trainer required.
  • Ability to demonstrate sales skills and capacity to motivate branch staff to cross sell financial services.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to comply with policies and procedures, to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual capability a plus.
  • Attainment of Notary Public certification within 12 months of beginning position.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel, E-mail, internet software and capacity to learn retail banking computer system is essential.
  • Must have own transportation, or access to reliable transportation on short notice.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain this throughout employment.
  • Must have the ability to maintain flexible daily schedule, including evenings and Saturdays.

  • Actively sells and refers all Pioneer Bank products and service offerings.
  • Upholds established customer service standards and measurements and ensure such expectations are communicated and adhered to.
  • Oversees processing of customer transactions and ensures compliance with cash handling and security procedures.
  • Assists with scheduling, counseling, supervising, evaluating and disciplining all personnel within the branch.
  • Provides continuous coaching and evaluation of staff sales efforts and monitors results.
  • Monitors staff compliance with all Bank policies and procedures within the branch, through training and counseling.
  • Maintains proper security controls, as set forth by the Bank's security officer.
  • Advises the Branch Manager of office, market and community trends and/or other situations warranting bank management's involvement.
  • Works with Branch Officer to coach staff on increasing branch sales and deposits.
  • Interviews, selects, and trains staff in accordance with the Bank’s EEO/AA commitment in conjunction with or under direct supervisor of Branch Manager.
  • Evaluates performance, and makes recommendations for advancement and appropriate promotional and merit increases.
  • Motivates and counsel assigned staff to increase professionalism, exceed customer service expectations, and encourage career development.
  • Ensures that department practices comply with Federal and State laws and corporate human resource policies.
  • Promotes EEO and Affiative Action by identifying problem areas and establishing and meeting goals to eliminate underutilization of females, minorities, individuals with disabilities, disabled veterans, and veterans of the Vietnam era.
  • Assists in the development, implementation and administration of human resource policies and programs including implementation and compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Affiative Action Programs.

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non Exempt

PAY GRADE: NE 40 ($22.00 - $35.21 per hour)

AVAILABILITY: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm, Friday 8:30am-6:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm

Position Summary:
