FCN Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations and lead staff in delivering exceptional customer service. You will help with account services, coaching, and maintaining internal controls to safeguard deposits and assets.

The role emphasizes supervising, training, and developing employees, while driving branch goals for service, deposits, and relationship growth. A related bachelor’s degree or equivalent banking experience is required, with a Monday–Saturday

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent banking experience.
  • Experience in branch operations, customer service, and deposit account services.
  • Prior supervisory, employee training, or team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Branch Manager with supervising assigned employees, coordinating daily work, and maintaining appropriate service coverage.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on customer service, transaction accuracy, operational procedures, and relationship development.
  • Support employee onboarding, training, and cross-training.
  • Provide feedback on employee performance and assist with evaluations, recognition, and development plans.
  • Address routine employee concerns and communicate performance or conduct issues to the Branch Manager.
  • Assist with corrective action in coordination with the Branch Manager and Human Resources.
  • Communicate Bank updates, procedural changes, and departmental requests to employees.
  • Provide leadership within delegated authority when the Branch Manager is absent.

  • Open deposit accounts and provide ongoing account support in accordance with Bank procedures.
  • Assist customers with debit cards, online banking, bill pay, and other available services.

  • Assist business customers with routine cash management questions and coordinate specialized needs with Treasury Management personnel.
  • Support branch goals for customer service, retention, deposits, and relationship growth.
  • Resolve customer concerns within assigned authority and involve the Branch Manager or appropriate department when needed.
  • Support the teller line and other customer service functions as needed.
  • Assist with daily branch operations, including opening and closing procedures and required internal controls.
  • Perform assigned audits and cash counts involving teller stations, cash drawers, and other branch assets.
  • Help ensure employees follow cash handling, transaction processing, confidentiality, and security procedures.
  • Follow applicable Bank policies and banking requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act/Anti‑Money Laundering, customer identification, information security, and privacy procedures.
  • Recognize and promptly raise suspected fraud, suspicious activity, security incidents, and other concerns through appropriate Bank channels.
  • Assist with audit preparation and follow through on assigned corrective actions.
  • Report equipment, facility, and operational concerns to the Branch Manager.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service and operational efficiency while maintaining appropriate controls.

Position Summary

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in leading employees, maintaining effective daily operations, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position provides hands‑on support for account services, branch transactions, employee coaching, and operational controls.

The Assistant Branch Manager helps strengthen customer relationships, supports branch goals, and coordinates appropriate referrals to Bank partners. In the Branch Manager’s absence, this position provides branch leadership within delegated authority.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Branch Leadership and Employee Development
  • Assist the Branch Manager with supervising assigned employees, coordinating daily work, and maintaining appropriate service coverage.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent banking experience.
  • Experience in branch operations, customer service, and deposit account services.
  • Prior supervisory, employee training, or team leadership experience preferred.
