The role includes promoting bank products, cross-selling, coaching staff, and supporting branch leadership in performance reviews and customer service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Promotes bank products and services and maintains knowledge of all offerings.
• Identifies cross-selling opportunities and records sales as trained.
• Supervises, coaches and schedules Retail staff for efficiency and service coverage.
• Works with Branch Manager to prepare performance reviews for Retail staff.
• Completes consumer loans from application to closing.
• Opens and closes all types of deposit accounts.
• Handles customer complaints and counsels customers with special problems or in disagreement with bank policies.
• Assists Branch Manager in their absence at the Kalona location.
• Performs duties related to safe deposit boxes including opening, closing, maintenance and access.
• Operates Teller cash drawer and performs branch cash audits.

Education

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Branch Manager for Kalona is responsible for supervising and scheduling all tellers to ensure efficiency at both locations. In addition, duties encompass the accurate and efficient processing of all teller transactions for bank customers in a prompt and courteous manner.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Actively promotes products and services and maintains a general knowledge of all products and services offered
• Identifies and pursues selling and cross-selling opportunities with bank customers and prospective customers and records sales as trained to do
• Responsible for supervising, coaching and scheduling certain Retail staff to ensure efficiency and service coverage
• Works with Branch Manager to prepare performance reviews for all Retail staff under their supervision
• Complete consumer loans from application to closing
• Open and close all types of deposit accounts
• Has a strong commitment and dedication to internal and external customer service
• Handles customer complaints
• Counsels customers with special problems or in disagreement with bank policies and procedures
• Assist with the responsibilities of the Branch Manager in their absence at the Kalona location
• Performs all functions related to safe deposit boxes including opening, closing, maintenance and allowing access
