Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Boys Wrestling Coach for Lincoln County School District #1 to support the middle school wrestling program. The individual will work closely with the Head Coach to develop athletes' skills and promote a positive team culture. Responsibilities include organizing practices, instructing wrestling techniques, and supervising athletes. Ideal candidates should have knowledge of wrestling rules, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage with middle school students. A valid PTSB coaching license is required or willingness to obtain one within one year.

Qualifications

• Experience in wrestling as a coach or athlete preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with middle school students.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

• Help manage equipment, uniforms, and match‑day logistics.

• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff.
• Uphold school and district athletic policies and expectations.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of wrestling rules, safety protocols, and coaching techniques.
• Experience in wrestling as a coach or athlete preferred.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass background check per district policy.
