An established institution is seeking a dedicated Assistant Coach for its Boys Basketball team. This role involves working closely with the Head Coach to enhance athlete performance through effective practices and drills. The ideal candidate will have experience in high school coaching, a passion for mentoring young athletes, and the ability to manage team activities. Responsibilities include conducting practices, coordinating meals for events, and transporting students to games. Illinois Mathematics & Science Academy (IMSA) is seeking an individual to fill the role of "Assistant Coach" for the Boys Basketball team for the upcoming 25-26 academic year.
Experience in high school coaching is preferred. This is a stipend position based on coaching experience. The assistant coach must pass a background check, complete a CPR/AED basic life-saving course, and possess a valid Illinois driver’s license to operate IMSA vehicles, including up to a 14-passenger mini-bus. No additional tests or endorsements are required for vehicle operation.
The candidate will work under the direction of the Head Coach and should be capable of assisting in practices, drills, and conditioning to improve athlete performance, as well as managing team activities. Responsibilities include:
