Assistant Bowling Coach

Department: Athletics

Job Summary:

The Assistant Bowling Coach is a limited, part-time stipendposition that provides practice and game-day support to theColumbia College bowling program. This position works under thedirection of the Head Bowling Coach and is intended to provideadditional coaching and operational support during team activities.

  • Assist the Head Bowling Coach and coaching staff during teampractices as needed.
  • Provide on-site support during drills, skill developmentactivities, and other practice activities as directed by the HeadCoach.
  • Assist with game-day preparation and team activities before,during, and after competitions.
  • Assist with basic equipment, field, and practice set-up andbreakdown as needed.
  • Provide support during home and away competitions asassigned.
  • Game day preparations, including court set-up and break down,uniform and equipment preparation, game-plan preparation, warm-upactivities, and game evaluation.
  • Help supervise student-athletes during practices, games, andother assigned team activities.
  • Travel with the team to selected competitions when requested bythe Head Coach.
  • Support the Head Coach and bowling program in maintaining apositive, safe, and professional environment forstudent-athletes.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and work effectively withstudent-athletes, coaches, administrators, officials, and othermembers of the Columbia College community.
  • Work effectively with students, student-athletes,administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, officials, andcoaching peers.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Prior coaching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Institution
  • At least two years NAIA/NCAA head coaching experience
