The Assistant Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, administration, and operational effectiveness of bars, lounges, special events, and other beverage-related outlets.
Responsibilities:
- Develops accurate and aggressive long- and short-range financial objectives relating to beverage service, distribution, and sales for the Beverage Department.
- Assists the Director of Beverage in developing and managing the Beverage Department budget and P&L reconciliation.
- Manages programs, processes, and departmental communication for Team Member Time & Attendance record keeping/documentation.
- Manages the BEO & Special Event communication and operations for the Beverage Department.
- Manages and schedules staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment levels and ensure optimal service to enhance the gaming experience at Maryland Live Casino.
- Manages sales, marketing, and promotion programs & communication for the Food & Beverage Department, liaising with Marketing, Promotions, and Public Relations.
- Maintains departmental financial data, effective cost, and portion controls.
- Reviews beverage processes, activities, and inventory control status with the Director of Beverage.
- Possesses knowledge of gaming and alcohol beverage control laws, Health Department, and OSHA regulations.
- Handles a variety of tasks and deadlines requiring an irregular work schedule.
- Meets with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; a four-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Minimum of four (4) years management experience in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, or related fields.
- Ability to comply with all state gaming regulations, including obtaining necessary licenses.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods.
- Manual dexterity to handle and feel objects; reach, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Good vision for reviewing documents and operating computers.
