Baldwin Richardson Foods is seeking an Assistant Batch Operator for the 3rd shift (12:00am – 8:30am, Mon–Fri). This entry-level role supports multiple departments by setting up processing equipment and batching ingredients according to cook cards and batch instructions.

The position offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus for new employees hired on 2nd or 3rd shift, plus a 3rd shift differential of $1.50 per hour. Training leads to Processor roles and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Batch food products per Cook Cards and process instructions.

Career Opportunities: Assistant Batch Operator 3rd Shift (624)

The Processor Assistant helps to set up equipment for processing and will batch raw ingredients in accordance with cook cards and written batch instructions. This role works across many departments and functions, and therefore, will gain a broad understanding of the BRF production processes. This is the training role that leads to Processor and various advancement roles in the organization.

This opening is for our 3rd shift - 12:00am - 8:30am - Monday - Friday.
3rd Shift Differential = $1.50 per hour.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Batches food product in accordance with Cook Cards and process instructions.
• Lifts and pours ingredients and raw materials into kettles and processing equipment/machine, for the line.
• Verifies that all materials used are correct for product being produced by checking Cook Cards.
• Setup of equipment for processing operations in accordance with product specifications.
• Assists in the cleaning of kettles and batch systems, including pumps, utensils, and general area cleaning.
• Completes all required batch paperwork accurately.
• Adheres to safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and maintains food safety standards

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)required.
• The ability to operate a forklift (prior experience preferred) and complete the internal certification program.
• The ability to effectively read the cook cards, which are written in the English language, and complete batch paperwork.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to demonstrate basic mathematical competencies including, but not limited to, addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication of both fractions and whole numbers, and converting units of measurement.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which includes fluctuation in heat, moisture, and noise.
• Wear Food Manufacturing GMP Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - hard hat, hairnet (head and beard if applicable), steel toes shoes/boots, and face mask.
• Display the ability to multi-task and perform essential job duties with a sense of urgency.
• Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.
