Job summary

American Heritage Schools- Palm Beach Campus is seeking an Assistant Athletics Coach - Basketball to join our Athletics Department in Delray Beach, FL. The role focuses on coaching basketball, leading practices, and developing student-athletes.

The position is part-time and not eligible for benefits. Travel to games and tournaments is required as part of team activities and coaching duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching basketball is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparing and conducting individual and team practices, pieces of training, and competitions.
• Teach and instruct all aspects of the game
• Promote sportsmanship and foster good character in student-athletes
• Works with other Athletic Coaches in general and specific coaching procedures, methods, and techniques.
• Provides technical support and training to athletes, as appropriate to the sport.
• Assign specific positions and come up with drills and organized game strategies.
• Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, and on buses
• Encourage student participation and establish rapport
• Maintain equipment and uniforms
• Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations
• Other duties as needed.
