Job summary

American Heritage Schools - Broward Campus in Plantation, FL is seeking Athletic Coaches for all sports on a part-time basis. The Athletic Coach instructs athletes to prepare them for games and competitions.

The role involves assisting with practices, teaching game fundamentals, promoting sportsmanship, and coordinating drills and game strategies. Candidates should have a high school diploma and coaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in coaching specific sports is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparing and conducting individual and team practices, pieces of training, and competitions.
• Teach and instruct all aspects of the game.
• Promote sportsmanship and foster good character in student-athletes.
• Works with other Athletic Coaches in general and specific coaching procedures, methods, and techniques.
• Provides technical support and training to athletes, as appropriate to the sport.
• Assign specific positions and come up with drills and organized game strategies.
• Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, and on buses.
• Encourage student participation and establish rapport.
• Maintain equipment and uniforms.
• Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations.
