Job summary

Simpson University in Redding, California, is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach/Pitching Coach to support a NAIA program with recruiting, on-field coaching, and travel planning.

This role reports to the head baseball coach and athletic director and requires strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to Christian student-athlete development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Effectively assist with all aspects of a collegiate baseball program including practice, game, travel planning and organization.
• Develop and Implement Individualized Pitching Plans
• Coordinate Throwing Programs and Monitor Pitching Workload
• Communication with Athletic Training Staff Regarding Pitcher Health
• Provide accountability and discipline for student-athletes spiritually, socially, academically, and athletically.
• Recruit and retain quality student-athletes who can succeed academically and are an institutional fit.
• Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract and retain qualified student-athletes who are a strong fit for Simpson University's academic and athletic programs
• Participate in all team activities.
• Travel to all away games and necessary recruiting trips.
• Effectively use social media to promote the baseball program.
• Have awareness, accountability, and educate student-athletes on the proper use of social media.
