Schnucks is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager for the Godfrey, IL bakery department. The role supports the Bakery Department Manager, oversees daily operations, and ensures product quality and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced store setting.

Responsibilities include leading the bakery team, scheduling production, handling cake orders, and maintaining clean, safe work environments while providing friendly service to customers during all shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of bakery or retail experience.
• Full-time position with 40 hours per week, weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Department Manager in the absence of the Bakery Department Manager.
• Assign daily duties to the bakery team to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Train new teammates on bakery operations, safety, and customer service standards.
• Write daily orders and establish timelines for the production schedule.
• Process customer requests, including decorated cake orders from the bakery plant.
• Receive, stock, rotate, and display bakery products to ensure freshness and appeal.
