Albertsons Companies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Department Manager to join our Merrimack, NH team. You will support the Bakery Department Manager in leading a skilled team to deliver high-quality bakery products and exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Bakery Department operations and maintain high standards for quality, freshness, presentation, and service.
• Create a welcoming, customer-focused environment and resolve concerns and special orders.
• Assist with planning and executing daily bakery production based on sales trends and seasonal demand.
• Assist with merchandising plans, promotions, planograms, and seasonal programs.
• Support department sales, labor, scheduling, ordering, inventory, and shrink goals.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily Bakery Department operations, ensuring high standards for quality, freshness, presentation, and customer service.
• Foster a welcoming, customer-focused environment and resolve customer concerns and special orders
• Assist with planning and executing daily bakery production based on sales trends and seasonal demand.
• Execute merchandising plans, promotions, planograms, and seasonal programs
• Assist in managing department sales, labor, scheduling, ordering, inventory, and shrink goals.
• Support compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and developing bakery associates while promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Perform Bakery Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Bakery Manager

• Retail bakery operations and high-volume production environments
• Ability to effectively supervise and train associates in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Abilities

• Ability to review sales, labor, and production data to inform departmental planning
• Ability to train, coach, and develop associates at various skill levels
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in hot and cold temperature environments

• Other requirements: Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance; compliance with company safety policies and Code of Business Conduct
